Each year, readers of The Courier-Tribune and Gladstone Dispatch cast their votes in the Best of the Northland contest, highlighting their favorite local businesses across more than 140 categories. In 2020 alone, more than 63,000 votes were submitted, showing just how much the Northland community values supporting local businesses.
For more than 30 years, this reader-driven contest has celebrated the importance of shopping local and investing in the businesses that help communities thrive. Winners are announced each summer and recognized throughout the year as trusted, community-approved establishments.
To be included among these winners, and to be chosen as Best Family Restaurant, is something we don’t take lightly.

Since opening our first location in Riverside, Missouri, Corner Cafe has been built on the idea that a restaurant can feel like home. Over the years, we’ve grown to three locations, but our mission has stayed the same: serve homestyle meals in a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels like family.
